Hawks Cay Resort Undergoes Multi-Million Dollar Renovation
High on my list of must-visit hotels in Florida, Hawks Cay Resort is nearly finished with a multi-million dollar renovation.
The project touches nearly every aspect of the resort from the landscape architecture and exterior reception area to the lobby and rooms.
The final piece in the new Hawks Cay experience will debut in June 2015 with the unveiling of a new Marina Walk, complete with a new restaurant featuring expansive outdoor seating with multiple fire pits, private dining and panoramic views of the ocean.
“People come to the Keys for the water and to experience the unique island flavor found here, so it only makes sense that our redesign reflects the natural beauty that surrounds us,” says Hawks Cay’s Regional Managing Director Sheldon Suga. “By bringing the fresh colors and beautiful light of the outside into the décor, we’ve created an authentic Keys experience at every turn.”
The renovation is part of the re-launch program initiated by Carey Watermark Investors, which acquired the resort in the fall of 2013. Pyramid Hotel Group, the resort’s new management company, is overseeing the project.
