Art Exhibit: The Sinking World of Andreas Franke in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea

An art photography exhibit called, The Sinking World of Andreas Franke, is coming to Lauderdale-By-The-Sea on July 25 – Sept. 21, 2014. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is a charming seaside town just north of Fort Lauderdale that’s known for its walkable, shaded streets, eclectic shops, boutique hotels, live music and open-air dining. As the Beach Diving Capital of Florida, it offers diving and snorkeling on a three-tiered living coral reef just off the beach.

Renowned Austrian photographer and avid diver, Andreas Franke is famous for his photographs of sunken shipwrecks and now he’s bringing his exhibit to Florida. Called the “Sinking World,” the exhibit features photographs of the USCGC Mohawk, a WWII ship, and the USNS Vandenberg, the second-largest artificial reef in the world, with fanciful images of people and scenes captivatingly placed within the photos.
