A Weekend of Romance, Jazz and Luxury in Sunny Isles Beach

Imagine swaying with the palm trees to the sounds of a classic jazz trio. Now take a sip of wine and relax as the music moves you.

The 5th Annual Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Festival, set amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, will feature contemporary jazz pianist and composer David Benoit and will showcase local jazz artists with events throughout the weekend.

Rekindle the romance with a loved one or bring the whole family. The festival runs from Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.

Schedule of Events 

  • The festival kicks off Friday, Oct. 12, at Acqualina Resort & Spa from 8 to 11 p.m. and includes an evening of jazz featuring Tony Sona Trio with a special guest appearance by Gail Robin at the Piazzetta Marketplace & Restaurant.
  • On Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., a Jazz BBQ by Solé on the Ocean will feature Oriente Band bringing jazz strains to the city’s beachfront.
  • The main event takes place later on Saturday evening at Heritage Park from 6:30 to 10 p.m. featuring David Benoit, Ira Sullivan, Rose Max and Ramatis Brazilian Jazz featuring Dorio Ferreira.
  • Finally, on Sunday, Solé on the Ocean will also be hosting a jazz brunch with performances by the Frank Axtell Quartet.
